About Us
The name CASE stands for Caring And Sharing Effectively and was established as a registered charity in February 2000. It is supported entirely by volunteers so that all the funds generated would be given entirely to identified areas of need both locally and worldwide.
Notable Achievements
One of our first major projects was the provision of a unit in Romania for girls who were victims of abuse.
Our biggest project was the purchase of a Land Rover, and the safe delivery of it to Albania for use in areas where a four wheel drive vehicle is essential.
We sponsored two children in Haiti until they reached. adulthood.
A special appeal raised £5,500 for the Philippine Islands, and £5,000 for Nepal.
We also send £1,000 at Christmas time to provide gifts for children in Romania.
Last year we gave £1,000 to a local soup kitchen and hope to be able to help them again this year.
BEGINNINGS & PREVIOUS CASE SHOPS
How It Began
The CASE project began in Ayrshire by a group of volunteers setting up stalls at local Gala days.
First CASE Shop
The ORIGINAL CASE SHOP first appeared in Kilmarnock in 1999 within a small property in Bank Street near the centre of the town.
Second CASE Shop
The second CASE Shop was situated in premises in a small retail unit located at 65 Tichfield Street in Kilmarnock.
We also had another separate unit located across the street that was used for the storage and display of furniture.
